Myself and Linux

Hey There…

Do you know the world interacts with Linux everyday and most don’t
know it. The Internet Powered by Linux, Google powered by Linux. Facebook Powered by Linux. The Stock Exchange powered by Linux. ATM’s Powered by Linux.  2.5 Billion Android phones in the world powered by Linux.  Space X, and every space ship we ever launched, powered by Linux. The Airplanes/Jets flying in the sky, and the systems that control them powered by Linux. Ford, Tesla, Audi, Honda, Toyota, Mercedes, Nissan, Suzuki, just to name a few, powered by Linux. All the self- driving cars in development, powered by Linux. Home appliances like toasters, microwaves, smart TV, Remotes, the list is endless. So to rest my case, I’ll add, ‘The Top 500 Fastest Super Computers in the World’, are powered by Linux!  There is a Lot More, but this is just a sample!

Linux is by far the most commonly used operating system for web-facing computers. It is installed on 6.64 million (74.2%) servers, and at least 1.05 million of these can be positively identified as running the Ubuntu distribution.

Linux servers are widely used today and considered amongst the most popular due to their stability, security, and flexibility, which outstrip standard Windows servers. Another major benefit of using Linux over closed-source software like Windows is that the former is fully open-source. Microsoft chose Linux as the operating system to power their Azure Cloud Computing Services instead of their own Windows Server operating system.
